The cheating, the prostitiutes, the porn... then the shame, then repeat..... I know for much of my life I’ve been completly confused (even addicted) to the idea of either using women as objects for gratification\control or purely connecting to them with on open heart..... ive learnt (after many trials) that opening your heart (more often than your fly) to the feminine is not giving up control or being weak, it’s the bravest thing a man can do..... and the most intimate. Undoubtedly, I believe that men can have intimate connections purely with their hearts (with either gender, for that matter) that are just as satisfying on all levels as physical intimacy (especially if disfunctional) . For I think, deep down that’s what we as men are actually longing for..... Yet somehow in this modern day of porn, fear driven male leadership, gender stereotypes (not to mention any prior abuse) it’s been completely fucked up and lost. For me, as much as it brings up fears of judgement.... Writing about intimacy from a Mens point of view..... about the dance between the masculine and feminine (whether physical or not) is something my soul is screaming at me to express.
