There is darkness within ALL of us.

there always will be, for we live in a world that’s balanced by polarities. Good and evil, rich and poor. Light and dark...... the constructs of the world we live in, the society we are a part of, make darkness a thing to avoid..... to be ashamed of...

Yet maybe if we change the way we look at the dark..... not as the shameful side of us, but an integral part of us, to enhance, to balance and to lead us to our light.

There is beauty in that... Our greatest artists have often endured the greatest battles.

Perhaps they are no more “talented”, maybe they have just faced the darkness within..... Granted, it’s such a perilous battle to face.. on one hand opening the door to creative genius, a magnetic persona or on the contrary, to deep depression and a feeling of no way out...

Maybe this aversion to the darkness and the absolute revolt society has for it is the reason for a growing suicide rate... it’s going to come up one time or another in one's life and when it eventually does maybe it’s how society sees the darkness rather than the darkness itself that is our demise?
